The National Association of Hispanic Nurses: Phoenix Chapter

Dear NAHN Phoenix Chapter Members,
The 2019-2021 NAHN Phoenix Chapter election term is soon approaching and the Nominations committee is looking for you to be a part of this ever growing, leadership driven team to uphold the ongoing success, mission and vision of NAHN and the NAHN Phoenix Chapter.  
Eligibility requirements:
-Submission of letter of intent with the stated position of interest.
-Submission of a short biography (the biography will be used in an upcoming newsletter that will be distributed to all current chapter members prior to elections and posted to the Phoenix chapter website to help get to know you better).

Please include a current headshot formatted to .jpg version.

All nominees must be in good standing with the association and a current General voting member.
The President-Elect position includes a BSN educational degree requirement.

Recording Secretary:
The Recording Secretary shall keep the meeting minutes of all the meetings for Members and the Executive Board; shall  distribute the minutes to the members of the Executive Board and Members, and provide the member meeting minutes at the follow-up Member and Executive Board meetings.  The Recording Secretary shall keep attendance rosters of the member meetings and update the membership roster as appropriate, in conjunction with the Membership Chair.  The Recording Secretary is responsible for certifying all financial documents and business documents in accordance with chapter policy. The Secretary, within thirty (30) days upon completion of the term of office, shall deliver to the new secretary all minutes, the latest member rosters and other pertinent paperwork accumulated during the secretary’s term of office. ***The new Recording Secretary will be given up to 12 months of mentorship and assistance from the current Recording Secretary, Glorimar Castro.

Phoenix NAHN members, one other Board position is vacant and may be filled immediately (no need to wait for the upcoming election term). The vacant positions are the Recording Secretary Chair and Education Chair. If you are interested in either of these positions and you meet the requirements as stated above to become a Board member, please contact Joey Hermosillo, Nominations & Elections Chair; Lori Murphy, President, or any other Board member stating your interest and qualification for the open board position.
